Harley Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide Review
If you want to ride a motorbike from Harley Davidson, that is, if you wanna vroom through the roads and highways in good old funky grandfather style Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide (FXD) model maybe one for you. Quite the contrary to other Harleys’ this one is not so pricey, but yes, what do you compromise on, if it’s a low price-tagged motorcycle? Aah! It is the finesse of the bike. It has what it takes for a creative customization.
Designed and engineered to be a stylish, the simple yet sleek HD Dyna FXD is a stretch of asphalt frame I would say equipped with some cool navigational features. Live hard and ride harder is the underlying tagline of the Dyna Super Glide bike and if it’s for long rides or for too-often ridings, there can be no Harleys alternative than the FXD Dyna. The front and the rear fenders are tweaked to look stylish and they are SS polished. The engine is also coated with silver powder and the exhaust system with dual mufflers would for sure add to the great looks. The authentic styling from Harleys seems to never miss the FXD Dyna machine which is available colors are jet black, lava red, pure pearl and pacific blue.
Performance wise FXD Dyna Super Glide is pretty sporty and it’s Twin Cam 96 engine with a 6-speed cruise-drive transmission never seem to let you down. And I didn’t take a mention of the stylish chassis here. The engine is air-cooled and rubber mounted and is equipped with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection System. Torque achieved is 124.7 Nm@3000 rpm. It has the electric starter mode and there is an improved exhaust system. The clutch system seems to have received some tweaking and is far improved from previous models.
Some of its key features include 10-spoked aluminum wheels; wide rear tyre, solo seat, stiffened chassis and low-risen handlebars. It has a 4.8-gallon fuel tank. The front and the rear end disc brake system work great. Coming with 4 pistons it has compression ratio of 9:2:1. Additionally, the Dyna FXD comes equipped with electronic speedometer and a fuel gauge and a smart security system (coming as optional though).
I would finally say that FXD Dyna Super Glide is yet another automobile gem from the portfolio of HDs with a perfect blend of retro architecture and modern technology. The best part is that with renovation and modifications since its launch it is now Euro III emission compliant. There are about variants coming in Harley Davidson Dyna model; and FXD Dyna Super Glide is the inexpensive one.
